Derek Jeter of the New York Yankees made history with style as he belted his 3,000th hit at Yankee stadium, by sending a 3-2 pitch form the Tampa Bay Devil Ray's David Price over the left field wall for a homerun.

According to USA TODAY, the scene at Yankee Stadium was celebretory as Jeter crossed home plate, as the fans chanted his name.
